The temperature here now, according to my window thermometer is -27.4 at 7:28 P.M. (C.S.T.) and Environment Canada says it's -29. "Y fait ben frete!!!" as my father would say. BONNE CHANCE, Yves! ROBLIN, Manitoba Monday January 15, 2007.::Yves left here this morning at about 9:00 A.M. It was still cold -25 without taking the wind chill in account. According to my cheap thermometer it is -21.3 now (-at-) 6:14 P.M. So he will likely have had another brutally cold day, but should get into warming temperatures for a few days. He will not run out of snow anymore, so that will make him happy. He sounds excited and I think he will accomplish his goal. Best wishes Yves.

2/3:: The people that know Yves know very well that he's at ease now, the butterflies that he had when he left Mont-Laurier are gone, they're probably frozen. For those of you that read his JOURNAL and in the morning when Yves leaves in the wrong direction, goes 50 kilometres pass where he should have turned after getting good instructions, no wonder that the next day he is escorted to the end of town and pointed in the right direction, ouch, his pride took a shot there et une journée quand il est obligé de revenir chercher son blackberry qu'il a oublié, le lendemain il faut qu'il rebrousse chemin et revenir à la station service parce qu'il n'a pas mis son bouchon sur son réservoir à essence huummm eh oui c'est dans ce temps là que nous qui connaissons Yves savons que tout va très bien et qu'il est à l'aise dans son voyage. Chaque mille que tu as fait sur ta motoneige à figurer ton chemin, chaque place que tu arrêtes faire des belles rencontres avec du bon monde, mais à chaque fois ça prend des guts en maudit. Salut Yves, bonne chance qu'on a beaucoup de temps à la retraite pour te suivre. Nous sommes chez Ben et Josette et ils nous ont montré sur Google Earth toutes les destinations dans le Yukon, Territoires du Nord-Ouest et l'Alaska que tu es allé et prévoit atteindre. Bernard Clément est venu chez nous aujourd'hui et nous lui avons donné la veste que nous avons tricoté. Il était très heureux et nous avons beaucoup parlé de toi. Hi everyone, I have reached Fairbanks last night at 20:30 Alaska time. The crossing of the Top of the World Highway with the Dawson City Club was definitely an other highlight of the trek to date.::::I would like to appologies for the delay in posting the journals, my Blackberry computer communication didn't work up north and to add to it, a left my Blackberry at the hotel in Tok Inn yesterday morning. À lire ton journal régulièrement, on se rend compte que les incidents de parcourt et les bris mécaniques sont inévitables. Soit vigilent sur ta motoneige car on sent que quelque chose de gros est dans l'air. Le sentiment que tu vas bientôt cassé. OUI OUI cassé le record mondial de la plus longue randonnée à motoneige jamais enregistrée. Laisse pas la mécanique te faire peur et accumules-en des kilomètres. Bonne chance à celui qui voudra bien t'enlever ton nouveau titre. Tu es notre champion/::Reading your daily journal we notice that situations and mechanical problems are unavoidable. Be careful on your sled because we feel something big is about to happen. Something almost guarantee will break soon.
